The ATIC terminology is a standardized, concept-oriented, multi-axial, highly specific, interface and validated vocabulary that facilitates the representation of observations on health status, clinical judgments-diagnoses and outcomes-and nursing interventions.

ATIC is a terminology with extensive bibliographic support that is updated with each new version. Here, in the side tabs and in alphabetical order, are the terms related to the focal points of ATIC diagnoses. Within each focal point, you will find the diagnoses and the references that support each one.

The article citations include publications in scientific journals from different countries. Although all bibliographic references are cited in English, articles published in Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, and other languages are also included.

The linguistic equivalents of ATIC diagnostic terms have been established by the author, except for the Russian translation.

Preferred terms may vary based on the transcultural adaptation to the language of each country. In cases where the author has identified an ATIC synonym as the preferred term in another language, the adaptation to common usage in that context has been prioritized. For example, the label “Riesgo de autolisis” (Risk of self-harm) is used as the preferred term in the Spanish context, while the term “Risk of suicide” is more frequently used in the English-speaking context.
